The fishing has been excellent at Crawling Valley Reservoir throughout July with some high catch rates of Walleye during the morning and early afternoons. The Northern pike fishing has been good also and we are finding them at all depths. Everyone is catching fish right now, even kids as young as 6yrs old have are catching multiple fish!
Lake Newell fishing has been excellent for large Walleye in the 25-30 inch or 6-10lb range! They are starting to move into mid-summer feeding patterns and locations which has been later then past years due to the cooler temperatures this year. The hunt for large Northern Pike has been on the slower side as they are spread out throughout the lake during July and August.
Spent some time out on Kananaskis Lakes and they are fishing excellent right now for Bull trout! The Cutthroats are taking large surface flies when the lake is calm. Bull trout caught are between 24-29 inches and some Cutthroat trout are pushing 24-25 inches.
