Lot’s of catching going on!
It’s prime Northern Pike and Walleye season up here in Alberta, Canada! We are seeing low 60’s to mid 6o’s F water temps since the start of June, and anyone who targets Northern’s or Walleye know what that means!! We are still fishing in under 10 feet of water, and on the calm days you can see the Pike ripping up to your hook and ingulfing it which makes for some thrilling action!
The Walleye are still up in these same areas and we are focusing on those shallow rock piles, steep drops and weed lines. Casting is the name of the game for both Walleye and the Pike and will continue this trend for while yet. The vertical jigging will be starting very soon also for the Walleye.
