The catching continues!
We are averaging 10-20 fish per trip on our 3 hour and 4 hour trips of both Walleye and Northern Pike. The water temperatures at Crawling Valley Reservoir have been in the mid to high 60F’s for the most part right through July so far. These temperatures are perfect for both the Northerns and Walleye as we are catching them up shallow to 6 feet with a variety of methods. We are also catching lots of Walleye jigging out in deeper water some days.
The Walleye bite out at Lake Newell has been very good with some up to 28” caught on our recent trips. Water temperatures at Newell are also nice and cool and the fish are very active!
As mentioned, we are now allowed to keep 1 Pike/person per day if you catch in the slot size at Crawling Valley Reservoir. Also, at Rolling Hills Reservoir we can keep 1 Walleye/person per day if in the slot as well!
